Sergei AlexandroviÄ? Belov (Russian: Ð¡ÐµÑ€Ð³ÐµÐ¹ Ð?Ð»ÐµÐºÑ?Ð°Ð½Ð´Ñ€Ð¾Ð²Ð¸Ñ‡ Ð‘ÐµÐ»Ð¾Ð²; born January 23, 1944 in Nashevoko, Russia) is a previous basketball player, most notably swimming for the Soviet Union at Olympic Games. The member of the Soviet national team for Fourteen years (1967-1980), he helped the babies winning the gold palm (1972) & threesome bronze medallion (1968, 1976, 1980). Belov is considered to exist as one of a better non-Western basketeer ever. He was inducted to the Basketball Hall of Fame on May 11, 1992.
